Movin' On Up!

Husband has finally finished transferring all entries to the new blog site. This will be my last post to this particular blog site. The new blog site is Bookmark it, link it everywhere you can, it's gonna be hot! :-) Husband is very good at this stuff and he's going to teach me tonight how to use the new site so hopefully tonight or tomorrow a new entry will be on the new blog site. So enjoy!

Woof Woof!

I took this picture at the fair and this sign just tickled me to death! So in honor of hoping to see MVR soon, and the fact that my entire family is made up of dog lovers, I salute thee!

Also, it is Monday so a funny picture is necessary to get through the day, don't you think? Happy Monday!

Workin' Hard For The Money!

I'm so ill! I just lost this long entry I had written! Argh! THIS is why we will be switching to our own blog site. Well you'll just have to deal with the shorter version. Argh!

We were graciously given this dining room table and five chairs by my aunt when Husband and I were first married. This was not just a cool gift, but it was very helpful because we'd never lived on our own before and having married straight out of school, we needed furniture. We have used and loved this dining room set for about two and a half years now and unfortunately for us, we loved them to death.

Yesterday we had a garage sale with some friends of ours who shared their garage and driveway with us so we could sell our stuff too. At 7:00am we opened the garage door to set up all of our stuff for sale and three cars were already sitting at the curb waiting for us! It was great!

Our goal for our part of the garage sale was to raise the minimum amount of money needed to buy this new dining room table and to buy at least four chairs to go with it. We knew God would provide, so we sold our old set. Not only did God provide the minimum amount we needed, but he went above and beyond that so we can afford a couple more chairs! This is so cool because we were hoping to be able to afford this new set before our HUGE Thanksgiving family dinner next month-- and now we can!

We're very excited and now we're going to that cool store I mentioned before ("Don't Spend It All In One Place...") next weekend to get it all! I can't wait!

Fair Days...

I went to the fair with Jennifer last Thursday and we had loads of fun! Our State Fair is all about appreciating our state's agriculture and livestock industries. We go to eat our way through the fair, but we also took in some of the animal sites, like these cows. Such personality! I mean really-- just think of the Chick-Fil-A cows! So funny!

It's been a while since I've written; I won't try to excuse it by saying I've been too busy. The excuse this time is that Husband is going to be switching my blog to our own website soon. He's begun the process already but hasn't had time to finish it yet. I'll let you know when it changes, no fear! Hopefully I won't keep you hanging for the next blog entry again.

Busy Busy...

No time to talk, busy busy busy at work. What a crazy week! Husband, who never has problems sleeping, has not been able to sleep much at all this week. We had two hours' notice to move our entire office so it could be painted Monday and yesterday, only to have him do such a fabulous job so quickly that we moved back in yesterday! I can't wait for tomorrow (my work week's "Friday") when I can play catch up at work.

Thanks for all prayers! Oh and last but never least, Happy Anniversary! shout outs to You-Know-Who-You-Are!

Low-carb Schmo-carb

Forget those low-carb, no-carb diets! I love bread! I had wanted a breadmaker for an incredibly long time and our friends gave us one for our wedding. I was so excited! I still am, but sadly I kept trying bread machine mixes which I have now learned I should NEVER use.

Everyone I've talked to to research this topic has failed with breadmaker mixes. I felt so good to know this that I attempted the "from-scratch" recipe. Can you tell how fantabulous it turned out?! It was sooo yummy that I can't wait to make more! So without further ado, thank you J & M!

One Of Those Days...

Have you ever had a weird day? Nothing in particular, just weird. People behave differently than you're used to, situations occur that don't normally, and you're just in a funky mood?

Welcome to my day today! It's been an odd sort of day, but fortunately I get to go home early today from work. I can't wait to get home and just put the heating pad on my back (I hurt it Tuesday a little bit. No worries, MVR!) and chill out.

So with that, happy chilling!

Happy Birthday Caleb!

It's Caleb's birthday today! More importantly, it's his first birthday in a long line of birthdays! I truly have been thinking that Husband and I are more excited than he might be. Now in all fairness, I am a huge birthday person and I know what's coming, Caleb doesn't.

His birthday party is tonight and I'm also very excited because I've never been to a first birthday party before. I suppose I was at my own and then my little brother's, but I mean in terms of remembering it, nope never.

So without further ado, I hope you all have a Happy Caleb Day!

Parade Of Homes

This is one of the homes we visited last Saturday. We only visited two because we didn't want to go crazy looking everywhere like we did last year. This was our favorite of the two we saw. It's smaller than we'd like on the inside, but whatever home we choose will be our first home not our ultimate dream home.

It's very hard to remember that for me because I want all these things in our first home. I want it to be spectacular and amazing and elegant and relaxing, all at the same time looking homey and lived in and loved. I think it can be pretty tricky to find the balance between all of these descriptions, so we're still looking.

I'm very excited that the time has come for this stage in our lives! I feel like a real grown-up at times like these!

My Busy Busy Weekend

This weekend was one of our busiest of late, but oh, it was so much fun! Friday morning I went with Jennifer and Meredith to the Farmers' Market to buy pumpkins. That was of course such a great time-- my two favorite friends! Jennifer and I hit up the local arts and crafts store and I bought a little scarecrow (He has not yet been named; I am taking suggestions.) to welcome guests into my home. He's very cute!

Saturday we went to the Parade of Homes and I always enjoy that because I love looking at other homes to get ideas.

Today my sister-in-law is here and I get to see her for lunch! Yippee! We went to the early service at church this morning and it's so nice to have the whole rest of the day free. Yippee!
