Congrats Cat!

It's been a pretty good weekend. We've been looking through cookbooks and making recipes all weekend and it's been lots of fun! I can't wait to see how our bread turns out.

(Oh and congrats go to Cat, who is back from her honeymoon tomorrow! Woohoo!)

Okay so...

Okay so I realize that two weeks ago roughly I had these grand delusions of writing these funny, witty, engaging highlights from our vacation to the beach. I also realize that's now as likely to happen as me doing push-ups this very moment (I'm not).

So in the spirit of trying to make things right, I am at least updating the blog and moving on with life. Fall is here and I am stinkin' excited! Granted, the weather's been in like the 90s lately it seems, but supposedly it's soon to be cooler. So exciting! I have had hot chocolate twice in the last week and a caramel apple cider from Starbucks (highly recommended with extra whipped cream) two weeks ago, so it's feeling autumnal to me.

Now it's party-planning time which I am fully getting into. Pampered Chef anyone?

Where's the Dramamine?!

While at the beach, it rained just about all the time. We still had bunches of fun, but at one point Hubby and I had to take the ferry to one of the other islands nearby. Let's just say I got seasick and had to get back in the car. The water got very choppy and turbulent at one point on the way there. Fortunately, we had smooth sailing on the way back. Oh, and we did see two jellyfish underwater! Remember that episode from "Friends?" Haha! I miss that show.

A vacationing we did go, a vacationing we did go...

Well, we went on our first vacation together in two and a half years this past week. It was great! John and Meredith invited us to go to the beach with them and their family. We had lots of fun shopping, eating and doing nothing! This week, blog entries will consist of highlights and conversations from the vacation. :-)

When we returned from vacation, our town finally felt like Fall! WOOHOO! I'm pulling out long sleeved shirts and sweatshirts right and left! Yippee!
