I don't have much on my mind today, other than getting ready for our eventual move in a couple months. We've been cleaning and clearing away, going through junk to the point where I broke our shredder! Oh well, at least we now have less junk to deal with, pack, move, and unpack. Woohoo!
Maybe I'll have more to say tomorrow...

Lots of good things have happened lately, and they have made me very happy.
In no particular order:
*Time with Gabe, including church
*Finding a new quilting store that is possibly even better than the last
*Wake-up calls from my friend Caleb
*Grandmother's doing better
*New Berry Krispies cereal! Anyone remember Smurf cereal?! This is smurfier!
*Time with Mary, especially for dinners
*Special extra time with the in-laws before they move far away
*Awesome time with Husband

The first day of Spring is here and you wouldn't know it by looking outside! It's yucky and cold outside, and I say 'it's about time!' Where's my snow during the Wintertime, I ask you?!
The good news is the flowers are beautiful this time of year and once we're in our new place, Husband and I plan to plant a garden. We've been reading up on tips, tricks, and techniques; and who ever thought I would be reading a gardening book like it was the latest #1 bestseller? Certainly not me!

Jesus answered, "It is written: 'Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.'" Matthew 4:4 (NIV)
Lately I feel I've been completely in God's will, as far as our latest big decisions go, especially with budgeting and financial decisions. It's amazing the peace I have been feeling and I love it!
Recently I read that it's harder to not be in His will than it is to be in His will. At first that didn't make sense to me, but I finally got it. The unrest I feel when not in His will is huge and it's very convicting to know you're not following God's best for you. For once, I'm being obedient and it feels great!

I am stunned and VERY bummed! My favorite quilting store, which I only found last year, has announced that they are closing and the owner is retiring. I am so sad, in case you can't tell! Much like this sidewalk ends and then another one begins in a new direction, I now have to find another fantabulous quilting store AND one in this area, which is extremely difficult to do! The saddest part about this whole situation of course is I didn't find out about the closing sale prices until the day after we budgeted our money for the next two weeks. I sincerely hope they're still open with some great fabrics in two more weeks! Please join me for a moment of some serious silence...

My grandmother has been very sick in the hospital. Today we got a little bit of good news and her doctor is slightly more optimistic now than he was before. So in honor of Grandmother and because I'll get to visit her again tomorrow, I celebrate with this photo from our visit Saturday to the Arboretum. We got many beautiful photos, so look for more in the future.

I have been trying for four days to get this picture available for you to enjoy! Finally with the help of Hubby, it's possible. This happened last Friday and I thought it was hilarious!
I am in desperate need of some laughter right now, so I'm sure someone else is too. Enjoy!

We've really focused lately on getting our website up and running, to the point where friends and family will want to visit our site on a regular basis. Husband has been working almost nonstop incorporating all the visions and ideas I have for the site. It's going to be awesome! Give us a few more days, and hopefully soon, you'll have a new website to enjoy!

Last week Meredith and I had TONS of fun together downtown taking pictures. When the two of us together are unleashed somewhere, people better watch out because craziness and hilarity ensue (much like a sitcom, but even better)! Suffice it to say, taking pictures with the lens cap on doesn't work very well, and traffic does not stop if you're standing in the middle of the busy street trying to take a picture! But we had fun, especially when we ended our afternoon adventures with some donuts! Yummy!

SEVENTEEN tubes of chapstick! Brett and Rebecca went to the UK for a well-deserved vacation and I asked them to please get me my favorite chapstick while there. Boy did they ever! THANK YOU very much! You are both very appreciated! I'm very glad ya'll had such a great time together, resting and having fun!

Slowly, Husband and I are making improvements to daily life:
*a new server for the website
*a place to live when our lease expires
*healthy diet and new recipes
*date nights to draw us even closer together
*more time spent with the Lord
It's very interesting to me that what I've been learning recently is so very true: The closer you are to the heart of God, the more aware you are of the 'sin that so easily entangles' and the more you want to 'fix' everything in your life. How wonderful to keep in mind it's not my responsibility to fix me, but Jesus working through me!
