Say what?

Last week at Chapel we learned how to be better listeners and to be more encouraging to others, especially our coworkers. I almost skipped due to the massive amount of work to be done, but I ended up being really happy I was there. It's a great reminder of where our hearts need to be in relationship to other people, Christians and unbelievers alike.

It's interesting to me that after Chapel, being heard is a common frustration I am hearing from my friends and family, repeatedly. How much easier would life be, in general, if you felt heard and listened to? What a great thing then that Jesus is always listening to us, no matter if it's 3 in the afternoon, or 3 in the morning. And- here's the part I like- we ALWAYS have His undivided attention. How important we are to Him that we receive His undivided attention anytime we want it! I don't even feel that way all the time towards my husband- and that's me wanting to hear his great work stories! Anyway, I'm just thinking... the next time I don't feel heard, I hope I remember there's always Someone willing to listen, no matter what.
