A little-known fact about my office environment is that it is jam-packed full of practical jokers. I am in the minority since I stink at coming up with pranks and the courage to carry them out.
This morning I was pranked and had an actual good idea to prank this person back. I tied a telephone cord around his office doorknob and tied it off on part of a cubicle desk. The idea was that when said joker would try to leave his office, he would not be able to get out.
The "joke" ended up being on me because someone else (poor innocent bystander) didn't see the cord on the floor, tripped, and FELL. She's alright (or so she says), but I have felt just sick about it all day.
Of all the jokes that have occurred here, no one has ever been hurt, had a heart attack, or any other medical traumas resulting from pranks. It figures that when I FINALLY came up with a really good idea on my own, without input from others, it was an epic failure. Sadness.
