Shameless Schnoodle Promoting!

The cuteness that is my furbaby, Scoutaki Mushroom, turns THREE today! Some days it's hard to believe she's already three and some days it feels more like she's really 21! In honor of her birthday, I warn you now, this whole post is about Scouty.

CC and I never wanted pets ever. God showed us! I don't know how we entertained ourselves before Scouty came into our lives, and we love her so much!

Tonight we'll give her her 'presents.' We got her a new ball for our game of keep-away fetch we play with her daily, and she'll get a new deer antler. I wanted to make her a little dog birthday cupcake, but Hubby said no. He's not being mean; her tummy is SUPER sensitive to anything outside of her norm.

I imagine we'll play an extra- long game with Scout tonight and take her for a long walk. Her perfect day!

Here are a few puppy pics from her early days...

This first one is the image we were sent by the breeder, so this is the very first photo of Scout we have. Of course, we were sold!

Here she is the first week she was with us. She looks terrified but we were obsessed with playing with her. She loved her little monster toy... so much so, she ended up eating it. Good times!

I just love this photo. We went back and forth on whether or not to dock her ears (since though she's Schnoodle-goodness, she looks like a Schnauzer). Her giant ears have always been such a big part of her personality, that to this day, I'm so glad we didn't!

Such an adorable puppy! Only 3.2 lbs. when we got her! Now she's four times that much!

Happy birthday, sweet girl!

Happy 33rd!

Grr, my photos aren't uploading correctly, so I have no cuteness to share today.

However, it's still my sweet hubby's birthday today, and we're partying like it's 1979!

Happy birthday to my bestest friend in the whole world! I love you, CC!

One of my dear no-blog friends is about to have a baby. Like in less than two weeks. Crazyness! It's her first and no, we don't know yet what she's having (how do people DO that?!), other than a human. :-D

She's awesome and very laid-back, but at her baby shower a month ago, her other friend Danielle, and I hit it off and became sudden stalkers of each other. The three of us got together the other night for dinner and girl talk, which was sooooo fun!

There's a newish area in town that's very French-like with lots of restaurants and shops and such. The Village Grill has amazing food, and then Jubala is across the courtyard.

Jubala is this newly discovered (by me anyway) coffee shop that is just amazing and fantastic and full of magic coffee goodness. Also they're super nice! If you're local, you should check it out. They have lots of reclaimed wood and butcher block tables with butcher paper and crayons for kids (ahem, me) to color on. Jubala is where I was shown the Draw Something app- so of course, the world is awesome when you're there!

Here's the mocha I got the first time I went...

Yes, real dishes, not paper cups. Love! Also, they sell weird waffles. They have extra crunchy sugar crystals on the outsides, and no syrup or anything. I'm willing to give them another go, but we weren't' impressed with that one teensy part.

Here's what I got the other day with Krista and Danielle...

They'd never been before and LOVEd it! Woohoo- converts!

I Need Your Input Please!

This morning I started Couch to 5k again. I didn't realize how much I love and missed running until I was running again today! I'm stoked for my next run and pray my momentum can be kept up for the long haul.

The only real issue from this morning is that my new running shorts (the two in one kind with the bicycle shorts under regular shorts) didn't stay put like I'd hoped! I'd love to hear your input and suggestions for attire when you work out (if you do).

Also, if you work out in the morning, what do you eat or drink so your stomach's not empty but not full either?

Thanks for any help you can give!

Exhaustion- in a good way

It's been some crazy weeks lately, as I've previously mentioned.

This past weekend we held Good Friday and Easter services, which were just lovely. A lot of work, but these services are always some of my faves that we do.

After services yesterday, CC and I had a potluck picnic at the park for lunch (instead of cramming folks into our apartment- last year we had 23!). We had about 35 at the park yesterday and it was such a blast! We did an Easter egg hunt for the little kids and an adult hunt too! So awesome!

Today, and because I needed to recover, was our day off. I was quite productive, making Hannah's banana bread muffins (yum!), reorganizing our pantry, and making the PDub's Fried Mozzarella sticks for lunch. A delicious day for sure!

I also took a short nap and watched tv and read magazines. Mostly I did NOT do laundry or clean

It was a fantastic day and it went by way too quickly!
