Throwing The Hammer Down

Well, God's been teaching me a lot lately, most of which is to let Him do what He's good at, while I keep plugging away at the whole trust/obedience/loving others stuff. The more I learn, the more I feel awful at it. Every where I turn, there's another lesson. Which is great, until I have to act on it, you know?

As I mentioned in my last post, Chris Tomlin's new album, Burning Lights, is amazing. In short, it's amazing because the entire album is pretty much a recap of everything God's been talking with me about since before Christmas. I suppose He's got more to say or I'm not getting it as much as I hope I am. Either way, He's still talking.

My very favorite song on the album is called Sovereign. It's basically every promise God's given me lately in one song.

I encourage you to check out the whole album, but especially that song. It's especially great if you're in the middle of some crazy of your own. Hubby was dealing with some major work nightmares last week and happened to check out the song and just about lost his breath at God's timing of it all. Crazy cool.

Another good one from the album is Whom Shall I Fear (God Of Angel Armies). For real, amazing.

I love both of the songs, but had never heard the first one, "Sovereign". That is such a great and comforting song! Thanks so much for sharing it!
